Grand Lido Braco - Trip Report

31 08 2007

My wife and I visited Grand Lido Braco in May 2007. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves — it was a great opportunity for some R&R that was badly needed.

Though we only could stay for five days — it was well worth it.

I had read numerous reviews of resorts prior to asking NFN to book the trip. We were not dissappointed in any fashion.

A little background: one of my professional postions had me traveling all around the USA rating resorts for conference use. Yes, it was a tough job but someone had to do it;} So consequently I have been to numerous five star resorts in the United States. Now I can tell you given enough experience you can faults with even the most highly rated resorts and spas. No one resort is perfect. They are all managed and operated by people and sometimes people have a bad day or some people are ready to move on to the next job — so their heart is not into what they are currently doing.

I am very happy to report that Grand Lido Braco was a very pleasing resort to visit. The rooms and service were as I would expect at a highly rated resort and in some areas I was particularily pleased with the service. A case in point is the spa at Grand Lido. The massage therapist gave me — perhaps the best massage — I have ever had, and I have a good number over the years.

Rising sons and daughters get naked as J-birds

29 08 2007

J GirlsSunday Mainichi (9/9)Increasing numbers of Japanese are doing their bit to combat global warming by getting all their gear off, according to Sunday Mainichi (9/9).

“We asked a group of Office Ladies to tell us what they did to beat the heat and the most common answers were ’strip down to almost nothing and sit around without the air conditioner on’ and ’sleep in the nude,’” Takayo Yamamoto, a researcher at the Hakuhodo Institute of Life and Living, tells Sunday Mainichi.

A 29-year-old OL shares an apartment with two other young women and the trio is more than happy to get around in the buff when they’re at home because it’s such a welcome respite from the prim and proper business attire they dress in during the day while working in the money business.

“Getting nude at home is like taking off our ’suits of armor,’” she says. “You just relax. I suppose in a way it’s like taking your make-up off.”

SuperClubs Escapes Hurricane Dean

26 08 2007

Hurricane Dean passed by Jamaica over the weekend.  I wanted to let you know that all of the SuperClubs resorts in Jamaica are open and accepting guests!  This would include, Grand Lido Negril, Grand Lido Braco, Breezes Runaway Bay, Breezes Montego Bay, Hedonism II, Hedonism III, Starfish Trelawny, and Rooms by the Beach. Hurricane Dean caused no structural damage to our resorts.  We had a few trees down here and there, but we are operating as “business as usual”!

Desire Cancun - Hurricane Dean

26 08 2007

Report from Desire Management

On August 20, 2007, Hurricane Dean made landfall south of Cancun and Riviera Maya on the Yucatan Peninsula. Please be advised that our resort suffered no damage from the passing of the storm. We are fully operational in every aspect…from our spacious accommodations, top-notch activities and amenities and fabulous meals–it’s all here waiting for your arrival. Our staff and management team look forward to welcoming you to our tranquil paradise very soon!

Hedonism III - Trip Report

It was our first trip to any kind of resort like this and we weren’t quite sure what to expect.  We were quick to warm up to the experience.  Everyone at the resort was very friendly, including most of the guests.  The other guests were open to fun and interesting conversations.  We met people that are bound to be life-long friends and we’ve already made preliminary plans to meet back there again with them.

The staff was very accommodating, although housekeeping was a little slow in responding to requests.  The rooms are clean, but not spotless.  We felt at home while we were there.  And there aren’t many places you can walk out your front door naked.  It was very freeing.

Nudist named to Arizona GOP committee

26 08 2007

 Paul Giblin, Tribune

Arizona’s Republican Party named Horst Kroust, the owner of a nudist resort in New River, to the party’s finance committee, a move that is drawing criticism from Democrats because the resort allows nude children to mingle with other nude children and adults.

Shangri La Ranch’s Web site offers this assessment of the facility: “Shangri La Ranch is one of the finest clothingoptional, family-oriented, year round recreational facilities in the Western United States. We emphasize the freedom of choice. You select the activity that suits you — from quiet relaxation to recreation.”

The resort also offered a weeklong camp for children in 2003. The camp was like other youth camps, except that the campers were naked, Kroust said.

Criticism by Democrats is unwarranted, Kroust said.

“Why is it their business?” he said. “This is absolutely absurd. What do those people think they are?”

Desire Los Cabos Trip Report

25 08 2007

index_02.jpgPosted by Rick & Mechelle

The trip was a long one from Atlanta but a smooth ride. Coming back was an absolute ZOO,  pack the toys well as they inspect every suitcase. If you dont want them to look close do what we accidently did, put the toy in the suitcase last. The immigration agent opened the suitcase, turned purple ( along with the wife ) and closed the case waving us on. It would have been great if it had fallen out ! Beware every CHECKED bag is manually searched.

As others have said you cannot ask for better service at any resort , the staff is wonderful. I actually tried to offer 1 young lady a job if she moved to Atlanta ( REALLY a legit job LOL ) and she said to me why leave Cabo when we have : NO BAD DAYS, that really summed it up for us.

Do rent a car while there the roads are a bit rough, we actually spent 1 GREAT day @ Buzzards bar and Grill and then on the beach ( its 15 min from the resort ) after leaving the grill we went to the beach turned left and walked about 400 yards, it was the most pristine beach we had ever seen. We didnt see 1 person and the only footprints in the sand belonged to US 5 hours later.

25 08 2007

Posted by Terry

Cap d’AgdeI visited July 7-14, 2007.  The weather was so- so warm 75-80 degree F, but windy.  One day it was cloudy and cool. This week is about 2 weeks prior to the high season. The beach is very nice, big, plenty of room for everyone.  The resort was clothing optional, not naturist.  Except for the beach, most people were dressed after 6:00 pm.

It’s not nude, it’s naked

22 08 2007

What it’s really like to live life in the buff
by Kia Momtazi and Kinsee Morlan

DeAnza Springs Resort sits in the middle of a desolate, dusty desert about an hour east of San Diego. Pavement turns to dirt as the road winds, ending abruptly at a protective gate guarding the entrance. It could be just another remote campground, but that possibility shatters as the gate opens, revealing a wooden sign depicting a naked couple and the words “Relax, You’re Home Now.”
