Couples from around the World Heading to the Four-Day SwingFest
Open marriages, couples dating, polyamory, recreational sex; it has many names, but it is most widely known as Swinging and it has become so popular it now has its own 4-day festival.
The multi-day event, titled SwingFest 2008, takes place July 31 to August 3, 2008 and will consume the entire 5-star, South Florida, Diplomat Resort as well as the adjoining convention center. With pre-registered guests from over 22 countries and 36 U.S. States, it has become an extremely popular vacation destination for couples looking for adult fun and it is was recently rated the #1 erotic vacation by online magazine AskMen.com and one of Playboy TV’s “69 Sexy Things to do Before You Die.”
“Swinging is more popular than some would like to admit,” says SwingFest Marketing Director Greg Freeman, ” … two examples from earlier this year are when ‘The World’s Largest Sex and Swinger Personals Community’ web site was purchased for a whopping 500 million dollars and CBS television announced its upcoming summer series ‘SWINGTOWN’,” a drama about a couple in the 1970s. “[Swingers] are becoming increasingly mainstream and accepted.” Freeman goes on to predict that at the current growth rate, the annual swingers event could rival the attendance numbers of “Fantasy Fest” as early as SwingFest 2011.
